MESH Innovation Teams Biodesign Program

MESH Innovation Teams is a collaborative year-long program connecting Mass General Brigham clinicians to engineers, MBA candidates, and entrepreneurs to solve critical clinical problems. Collaborating with Harvard Innovation Labs, candidates will join a MESH Team and obtain real world experience and first-hand exposure to generating healthcare innovations and creating companies in the complex medical environment throughout the academic year. MESH provides team members with access to MGH and Harvard physicians, residents, faculty, experienced entrepreneurs, venture capital networking, and Mass General Brigham Innovation along with formal training courses in healthcare entrepreneurship with the ultimate goal of patenting innovations and/or forming start-up companies.

To date, Innovation Teams has formed 9 companies and produced numerous intellectual property disclosures or patents.

Our popular Innovation Teams program returns for another year!

The MESH Incubator at Mass General Brigham currently has opportunities for students & early career innovators to get involved in team leadership roles within our program for the 2022-2023 cohort.

We are accepting applications for Team leadership roles to serve in three capacities: Business Leads, Engineering Leads & Clinical Champions.

  • As one of our Team Leads, you will work closely with a clinician advisor (paired with your team based on the idea at hand) to understand the problem. From then on, you will utilize your unique skill set to build a team, explore the problem space, and develop solutions.

Selected candidates will be invited to interview virtually with the executive team.

To date, Innovation Teams has formed 10 companies and produced numerous intellectual property disclosures and patents.

All intellectual property is treated according to Mass General Brigham institutional policy.
