About the Incubator
The MESH Incubator is an in-house prototyping and entrepreneurship center at Mass General Brigham. As the first incubator of its kind fully integrated into a hospital system, with a dedicated on-site physical location, MESH has actively created and supported more than 3,500 clinicians and researchers since 2016 through projects, patents, company formation, innovation education, and more.
MESH runs MESH Core™, the official, award-winning healthcare innovation bootcamp of Mass General Brigham; creates new companies through the MESH Innovations Teams biodesign spinout program; and has published more than 80 peer-reviewed publications on innovation, artificial intelligence, and healthcare operations as of 2025.
Based on our published patient-centered design thinking framework, we always iterate and implement with the patient at the forefront.

Founder & Executive Director
Marc Succi, MD
A Toronto native, graduate of Harvard Medical School, and previous MIT researcher, Dr. Succi is currently an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. His work is focused on product invention, intellectual property, business operations, medical content production, and education. He holds numerous published or pending patents as inventor, several of which are licensed to public and private biotechnology companies. He is the founder of two medically-focused startups.
Having experienced first-hand the frustration of physicians and trainees attempting to conceptualize, validate, and prototype ideas, Dr. Succi frequently encountered others with the same issue. He decided to create a infrastructure and framework to aid in transnational innovation, through both core education and materials prototyping and manufacturing with direct pipelines to patent and licensing offices. He founded MESH in 2016.
Dr. Succi has been named to the Forbes Magazine Top 30 Under 30 in Science and Healthcare List, won the MIT Data Prize, is the only person to have won the Massachusetts Medical Society Information Technology Award Twice, named one of the top Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs and Innovators by CEO World, won the Thrall Innovation Grant, Thrall Mentorship Award, and awarded Governor General’s Medal of Canada.
